How can we help?

The events map is the main way to explore what is on across Jamaica. Filters help you narrow by distance, vibe, and timing.

How to use the map

1. Open Events from the navigation.
2. Allow location when prompted if you want distance filters and distance labels on results.
3. Pan and zoom to the area you care about.
4. Tap Filters to open the filter panel.
5. Under Distance, pick 5 km, 10 km, 25 km, 50 km, 100 km, or Anywhere.
6. Add category, tag, date, and free or paid filters as needed, then apply.
7. Tap a map pin or a row in the results list to open an event listing.

Radius and location

• Distance filters need your current location. If location is blocked, you can still browse island-wide.
• Active filters show as chips on the map. Radius choices can stay in the URL when you share a link.
• Distance on each result is straight-line proximity, not driving time.

Other filters

• Parish narrows listings to a Jamaica parish.
• Categories and tags reflect how organizers tagged their events.
• Quick dates include Today, This weekend, and This week.
• Search in the toolbar works alongside map filters.

What to expect

• Virtual events do not appear in distance-based discovery.
• If a radius filter returns no matches, try a wider distance or switch to Anywhere.
• Recurring programs may appear as series rows with multiple upcoming dates.
